Lester B. Pearson Building

The Lester B. Pearson Building is the headquarters of the Canadian Department of Global Affairs. It is located at 125 Sussex Drive in the Lower Town neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario, and was built between 1968 and 1973. It was officially opened on August 1, 1973 by Queen Elizabeth II.〔 It is named after Lester B. Pearson, former external affairs minister, Nobel Peace Prize winner and Prime Minister of Canada.
It was designed by the Toronto-based architectural firm of Webb Zerafa Menkes.
The building consists of four "towers", of which three are interconnected from the first to the fifth floor. There is also a sizeable cafeteria located on the first floor which serves not only Foreign Affairs employees but also attracts employees from nearby government facilities.
